I have miltiple charges on my juvenile record, but all have been dismissed. I would like to know how to get my record expunged so that I can begin the process of joining the U.S. Marine Corps.

To be certain of what follows more information would be needed. Ordinarily, you would have to file a complaint in the Superior Court in the county where a charge was filed for an expungement of your record and notify the proper parties as required by the Rules of Court (for NJ issues). If there is no objection from the served parties and you satisfy the law, your records would be expunged and the parties given notice of the Order.

This office routinely files them for clients. If we can be of help, please call for an appointment or other information.

Re: getting juvenile record expunged

There is no need to expunge a juvenile arrest record. Juvenile records do not give an adult a criminal record because they are confidential. Secondly, your charges were all dismissed. Thirdly, I do not believe a juvenile arrest record can be expunged because for an adult a juvenile arrest record is no criminal record at all.
