Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Should I plead guilty?????

I got a speeding ticket for doing 47 in a 25. It was in a school zone, but I looked to see if there was any children present. And it was also 4:30 in the afternooon. Beacuse of these stipulations I was going faster. The original speed limit was 45. Should I plead guilty or not guilty, so I can get less of a charge. When I got to court the cop that pulled me over will be there. If I get the points on my license I could get my license taken away since I am currently going to the driver education course.

Re: Should I plead guilty?????

i would enter a plea of not guilty to start with

the court clerk. then, you might do better in court if you are represented by an attorney than if you go it alone. feel free to call me at 609 263-0089 for a consultation - no charge. good luck !!

Re: Should I plead guilty?????

Sorry to hear about your dilemna. The answer to your question, however, is more than a simple yes or no. Many factors, too many to list here, must be examined and considered. I am an attorney in Cherry Hill (near Phila.) and I handle these types of cases. If you would like to call me, I would be happy to discuss your case with you.

Thanks,

Re: Should I plead guilty?????

I think you are better off pleading Not Guilty. In

cases such as yours, I often am able to get a "plea

bargain." This means that you may get no points,

and be able to keep your license. If you would like

to discuss this further, please call me at:

(856)797-1414 for a free consultation. Thank you.
