Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

My question is: I was arrested for conspiracy to purchase marijuana and the charges were dropped without ever having to go to court. I even received a letter of disposition and I now am filing for my record to be expunged. The court date for the expungement is scheduled already (7/15/2010). Now the person I got arrested with (this is the person who was caught buying weed, I was just in the backseat getting a ride to get coffee?) just got pulled over and had a warrant for his arrest from the case with me and just went to court for that and is now telling me that the case is being reopened?? Can they reopen my case when it was already dismissed?? Is that possible?? I worry because of my pending court date to have my record expunged, and I've worked quite hard to have it done. Thank you for the help. I really don't know who to believe and everyone has an opinion??

When you ask if something can be done in the law the answer is usually that it can because improper things do happen. The question is whether whether this reopeing of your case can be undone. Once again, the answer is yes.
