File a motion to remove case

I need to file a motion to remove the divorce case in NJ to move/transfer it to NC, but I can't find the form to submit the request to court.

Re: File a motion to remove case

There is no such motion. If the divorce is filed in New Jersey and either the plaintiff or defendant resided in New Jersey when it was filed the case will proceed unless it is dismissed by the parties.

If you live in North Carolina it is possible, with an attorney, to avoid traveling to New Jersey for every court appearance; you can often appear by telephone speakerphone.

Motions and other papers can be prepared; emailed to you for your review and comments; revisions made and then you can simply fax the signature pages of the document to me so that I can file it with the Court with my attached certification that you have acknowledged your faxed signature on the telephone.

Call me if you like.

Hi:

You can use a standard motion form, but you must have substantial grounds for removal. Good Luck
