Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

finding out if husband filed divorce

My husband and I separated in Sept in Bergan Co., NJ. He asked for the separation and it looks like no reconciliation. No kids. Only married (in AZ) since March this yr. He refuses to communicate with me, whether I call (he doesn't answer), txt msg or email. I moved to AZ few weeks ago. He doesn't have my new AZ address but knows where I was staying in NJ after separation (may still think I'm there) and he knows my phone and email. How can I find out if he filed divorce papers? I don't want to myself, at this time anyway, nor do I want one.

You could call the court. The important thing here is when and if he actually serves you not so much whether or not he has filed.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
