Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

hello i live in nj about to get married i own a condo if i sell it before or during the marriage is it legally all mine and no claim can be made against it ? and as far as my pension is she only allowed to claim it based on the day we get married moving foward or the whole 30 years i have put into it ?

There are several issues in your question. Did you purchase this condo during the marriage. If so your wife has an interest in it. Was it purchased prior to the marriage and were marital funds used to upkeep the condo . In that case your wife may have a different interest. As far as the pension is concerned your wife has interest in the value of the coverture portion from the date of marriage to the filing of the complaint for divorce.
