Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If I married a man in New Jersey who is from Mali, Africa, but I have found other marriage legal documents and 2 birth certificates of children listing him as the father from that marriage in Africa- that he has hidden from me--> can my marriage be annulled even if his marriage was in Africa? How would the courts honor my annullment if USA has no way of varifying his marriage in Africa. I hear Africa does not have a good paper documents system as USA does. I have only copies of these papers, but will the courts honor them? How does this work? I think he is using me and our marriage only for his permant resident card. I have been totally decieved since the beginning of marriage 1 year ago. Please help me and explain to me as much as possible...

Married is married. The documents seem to prove a prior marriage which entitles you to an annullment.

Call me if you like.

You seem to have most of this correct. If he is married, in Africa or anywhere else, then he committed a crime when he married you. Your marriage can be terminated by annulment or divorce. I can explan the difference to you.

Give me a call Monday.
