Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Pay wife's attorney fees

My wife said that in the state of NJ, if she can't afford a lawyer, I'll have to pay for her attorney's fees. Is that true?

Re: Pay wife's attorney fees

No, of course not. Now, if she pays for an attorney and wins, you may have to pay her fees but that's for any litigant, not just husband and wife.

I suggest you get an attorney of your own or at least meet with one before you decide you don't need one. My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
