Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

I worked for three months including travel 15 hours per day with the offer of sweat equity into a business after 1000 hours he call off the deal and doesn't want to pay a wage, how is that not lying or slavery. There is also plenty of text and email that confirm there was a deal.? He changed the locks-what now?

If you can prove from the written communications that there was an expectation that you would have compensation for your services, you can sue for damages. Since you don't have a contract, the hard part may be establishing the value of those services. My firm handles matters of this type. If I can be of further help to you, call or email. See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
