Re: marriage

Hi Cooper,

This is a bit complicated to explain over email so please contact me in addition to the information in this email. First, we will have to determine under which visa she arrived in the US (i.e. visitor, fiancee, etc.). We want to make sure that her intentions do not appear fraudulent. After the marriage takes place we have to file several petitions for her for her to obtain her green card. One application will be for travel docments (particularly advance parole) which will allow her to travel before she receives her green card and not jeopardize the process. This typically takes 3-4 months but remember that processing times can change at any time and attorneys have no control over that. Feel free to contact me and we can certainly go through the process in detail so that you fully understand what will be done.
