Legal Question
I lease space reatil and office space in a building in NJ. The lease has a "non-liability landlord" clause. I have had two seprate instances occur at the the bldg which caused damage to my store. 1.) tenant above me toilet over flowed. 2.) the water pipes froze and burst cause great water damage. In this situation is the "non-liability" clause valid in NJ? I filed a claim against the lamdlords insurace and the denied me.
