Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Demotion

I was recently demoted because of a comp claim and offered a new position. I would like to know if can resign and still collect unemployment insurance. My weekly dollar rate will be reduced 18%. The company vehicle and perks will no longer be available. I will have to drive my own vehicle out of state for great distances and pay for my own gas, lodging and meals. Adding in company medical insurance payments I expect a 60% reduction in salary after all expenses are paid out of pocket.
