Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

I'm looking to recoup back rent from a tenant I had to evict in June also there was significant damage done to the property. What are my legal remedy options under the law

A suit will be needed to recover money damages. If the amount is less than $15k, it can be brought in Special Civil Part where the cases tend to move relatively rapidly. Once you collect a judgment you will have to collect it from the defendants assets or wages unless the defendant pays voluntarily.
