Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

Wrong medication given

I was given a sulfur medication--name removed--my dentist. I chart indicates that I am allergic to sulfur. I had an allergic reaction and went into shock.The dr. (dentit) had to call 911 and I was taken to the er. It was awful...Can I sue ?

You have identified a �classic� malpractice scenario. Anyone on a jury will understand that you should not have been given that drug.

The question of whether an attorney would file a malpractice suit will depend on how badly you were injured.

If you were able to get back to your normal life after this event, it may be hard to convince a jury to award you money damages.

Another attorney might sue based on the awful time you had in the hospital.

If you are considering a lawsuit, you need to speak to a medical malpractice AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, as there are strict time limits regarding when a suit can be filed.
