Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

There was 3 of us at this girls house and one of my friends kicked this kids car that stole his girlfriend but the kids car he kicked was upstairs and said he saw everything but obviously didn't see much because he is saying that it was me. I'm not going to tell on my friend but I'm deff going to deny it and we all just agreed to tell the cop we have no idea who kicked the car. What do you think will happen? (It was also like 4 in the morning and he is saying he saw it clearly from the upstairs window after just waking up)

It is definitely not a good idea to lie about what happened.

THIS RESPONSE IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, SINCE I DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED, AND I DO NOT HAVE A REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT WITH YOU.

* If the answers to your question confirm that you have a valid issue or worthwhile claim, your next step should almost always be to establish a dialog with a lawyer who can provide specific advice to you. Contact a lawyer in your county or township.

* Another reason for contacting a lawyer is that it is often impossible to give a good answer in the Internet Q&A format without having more information. The unique circumstances of your situation and things that you may not have thought to mention in your question may completely change the answer. If you want to be sure that you have a complete answer to your question and an understanding of what that answer means, establish a connection with a lawyer who practices in the area of your concern.

Presumably you were charged with some infraction? Will your friends come to Court and testafy you did nothing? The policeman saw nothing, but may testafy he saw a dent. Then the matter becomes one party saying one thing and another, with witnesses saying somnething else. The Judge may tbrow it out, but if becomes a credibility determination - who the Judge believes.
