Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Breaking a lease in order to accept a new job

My current townhouse lease expires in 5 months. However, I am planning to move out of state and am currently job hunting. If a good opportunity comes up earlier, and I have to break my lease in order to move and start the job, am I still responsible for rent until my present landlord can re-rent the property? Thank you.

Re: Breaking a lease in order to accept a new job

YES. YOU ARE STIL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RENT up until the landlord can re-let the premises using good faith efforts, or the expiration of the term.
