Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

After I purchased my property/home, I discovered a manhole on it & found out that this is a drain of some kind owned by the city of FT. Lee,NJ, considered an "easement". Had I been aware of this I never would have bought it. No one disclosed this to me. Do I have any legal recourse ?

The easement should have been discovered by the title company and disclosed in the report. If so, then you had constructive knowledge of the easement because you or your representative should have read it. If the title search failed to reveal the easement, contact your title company and perhaps a lawyer who does real property work in your area. See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
