Whose is responsible for tree damage? The person who owns the tree OR is the person who acquired the damage responsible for their own repair?

Depends on what happened and what has to be done. Usually, if a tree falls on a neighbor's property and causes damage, the homeowner's insurance covers it. However, if the tree was known to be a safety hazard and was unattended to, the person on whose property the tree was located can be held responsible.
