Such an old case normally poses a problem for the prosecutor because the officer has retired or just does not remember what the person he gave a summons to looks like. With an attorney you probably get an adjournment, because you must avoid making any statement to the prosecutor or the judge.

This may be defensible so you should speak with a lawyer as there may not be a witness to testify against you or the witness may not be able to identify you.

The reason you were suspended will be the determining factor as to whether your license will be further suspended.
