Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

complaint summons

i was driving kind of speeding 70-75 mph i tried to avoid traffic when i got into a middle lane i was still doing 70 above when a black car in the left lane came flying through the left lane lost a little controll hit me on my side near my door and he gained control again and he kept going straight i panicked and i was skidding doing 360 degres when i hit another car in the left front fender and continiued to skid in circles until i stop when i hit the grass the lady i hit was fine and wasnt making it a big deal she was just worried about me when the cops came they charged me with a summons careless driving and there might be more tickets because supposedly there were some poeple that called that saw me racing and i wasn't this was in bellmwar nj idk whats going to happen and i dont want them to suspend my licence because i need it to go to college please help

You have two issues here: (1) a civil matter for being hit (and hitting someone else) and also (2) a criminal matter. Your first sentence just said you were speeding, but you later say you were racing. Racing is a specific crime, and you may in fact be charged. As for the civil side, especially if you KNOW who that black car was (and I think you might) you should have a claim against that driver's insurance policy as well.
