New Jersey No Point Tickets

I am responsible for approving individuals to drive our company vehicles and I recemtly found a driver that had a points generting ticket changed to a no points ticket. We have always used the number of points a person has as one of the approval to drive criteria but now the no point ticket has changed that. If the ticket is a no point ticket, is there any way you can tell by looking at the Driving Record History of an indiviudaul.

No, to find out what the real ticket was you would have to get the information from the court. As a side note, I would be real careful about trying to assign people points based upon the original ticket when there is no conviction for such ticket. In some cases, a no point ticket is given as just a normal course of plea bargaining but sometimes there are serious problems with the allegations which would make it hard or impossible for the State to prove their case. Furthermore, you would be treating employees differently based upon getting a ticket outright dismissed vs. taking a plea to a no point ticket. I would count the no point ticket as if they didn't even get one.
