Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Speeding - First Time offender- Please help

I got a speeding ticket on RT 4, i was on the passing lane and was ''radared'' at 67 on a 50 mile zone. i didnt see any signs posted since i was on it for less than 1 mile. I know that it is really no excuse, but it was my first time getting a speeding ticket. I am not from the area and i was there for work, I was just following directions from my boss on how to get to the parkway (dumb idea.) I went to the assigned court date, and the person who i think was the prossecutor basically gave me 2 options: pay the ticket to get points removed from my record or go to trial, i chose to go to trial and he said that i needed a lawyer because i was going to lose my license. He didnt let me ask any questions and rudely dismissed me. I really dont understand how the process works or what to do. I guess i am guilty, because i was ''caught'' on radar but it was my first time, cop basically didnt give me a warning or anything. On top of that i got another ticket for not having one of the break lights on my car working, which was something that i didnt know was there. Please help. thank you

The penalty for speeding is points and fine, not losing your license. If you require representation and to discuss your options further, please contact this office.
