surveillance cameras

i would like to know if a dummy surveillance camera can be used in your own back yard as a crime prevention device to protect your home and property from vandals or other types of criminal activities.

Yes. The installation of security technology solely on your property is solely at your discretion.

A functioning camera would also be legal for security purposes.
