Re: When is the bankruptcy charged off?

A chapter 7 bankruptcy can be reported on your credit report for 10 years from the date of filing. In your case, that is the January 1995 date. Therefore This February, you should obtain credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union, and if the bankruptcy is still being reported, you should request that it be deleted as obsolete.
