Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Billing for unrequested services

We are being billed for advertisement services which we did not accept nor seek from Amerolink Corp. We would like to rreport this company to the better businessmens bureau for misrepresentation of a contract that does not exist between our business ''Hillsboro Budget Inn'' and Amerolink Corp.

Re: Billing for unrequested services

Send them a letter via certified mail disputing their claim. That way if they ever submit it to collects (let's hope not) you will have a stack of letters to show to the collectors and/or attorneys to show them that you're determined not to pay and shouldn't pay.

The BBB will not help you in a possible future legal case -- for that you should have your own records and contacts directly with the company.

If there was no contract, this should blow over, and if not, then you're prepared to put a quick stop to if it goes to collections.

You can report them to:

BBB of Alaska, Oregon & Western Washington

Website: http://www.thebbb.org

Email: no email

4004 S.W. Kruse Way Pl., Ste. 375

Lake Oswego OR 97035

Or go to this website:

http://lookup.bbb.org/SearchResult.aspx?ZipCode=97123

You should also report them to your State's Attorney General with a letter to the Attorney General for the state in which they are incorporated or domiciled within and a letter to the Secretary of State for that State as well.

Good Luck.
