Can I be helded personally responsible for a debt/s Can I be arrested for NOT paying a bill/invoice. I did not sign a contract or Personel gaurantee....even that vol signed the rec. invoice on delivery Have asked Company for invoicing etc...nothing!

Can you be held personally responsible for a debt? It depends on the facts of your case, which you did not provide in your question.

Can you be arrested for not paying? Again, it depends on the facts of your case.

So much of the law is dependent on the facts behind the questions that the questions cannot be answered without all the facts.

You probably need to hire an attorney to help you out. You can get referrals from your local bar association or from the NYS Bar Association (www.nysba.org).

If you cannot afford an attorney, every county in NY has a legal aid society, which provides free or low-cost legal help to those who qualify for their services.
