Is Fair Trade Laws legal. Can a manufacturer demand a minimum retail cost?

Generally a manufacturer can not proscribe a retail price. However, a manufuacturer can establish a suggested retail price. There are circumstanes in which a manufacturer may go beyond merely suggesting a retail price. In order to give a more precise answer, you have to provide more facts.
