Legal Question in Business Law in New York

I live in NYC and want to start a real estate investment business, I'm going to look for land in Massachusetts to begin should i open and s corp or an llc in nyc or mass ?

This depends. If the business will have a NY presence then presumably you would domicile here then qualify the entity to do business in MA as well and anywhere else you are actively involved.

If there is no real NY presence and all the activity will occur in MA, then there is little need to set up here.
