Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Credit Card Mayhem

i am in desperate need of help, i have a credit card in my name but the amount racked up was due to my ex GF, almost all charges are similiar (specifically proving those were her charges) adding up to $10k+. We never signed any form of payment agreement just that she was gonna pay the monthly bills on the debt. She was paying the minimum for about 8 mo. when all of a sudden she stops paying and tells me that she is no longer gonna pay and that i couldn't force her to pay anymore since the debt is in my name? what can i do? as stated previously no thing was signed just a mutual verbal agreement! help please

Re: Credit Card Mayhem

You might sue her for the bills in County Court. Many of my clients do this.

Good Luck
