Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Judgments

Small claims booklets state: If a judgment debtor fails to pay three or more recorded judgments despite having sufficient resources to pay them, you may be able to sue the defendant for triple damages.

WHAT ABOUT SUPREME COURT? CAN I SEEK TREBLE DAMAGES IF THE DEBTOR HAS 3 OR MORE JUDGMENTS (IN SUPREME OR OTHER CIVIL COURTS)?

Re: Judgments

Yes you can seek the damages elewhere. You probably would have to since it would exceed the jurisdictional limit of small claims.
