Marrage

My future bride has incurred a lot of debt over her lifetime. If I marry her, will I become responsible for her debt if something happened to her?

Re: Marrage

nope. What she brings to the union before the union is made is hers alone. Not that the creditors won't try to pile on...If you have assets that become commingled with hers it is a sure bet that you will have headaches down the road if the creditors pursue her and attach your joined assets...not that you should not commingle assets, you should, however, resolve her debts to insure peace of mind down the road...
