my ex-boyfriend stole jewelry from my apt. after throwing me at the wall

he had keys- i hadn't changed the locks he came in. started an argument then stole jewelry. threw me against the wall-broke my phone & closet. i tried to get away the police were called by neighbors. I want to know how to get my jewelry back

Well It would probably be best if you first filed a police report against him & try having him arrested, especially if you have any evidence, once thats done, it can provide substantial ammunition for a civil suit to retrieve the jewelry or its value from him, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
