Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

graffiti

My son was arressted in 2007 for graffiti (3 arrests) pled guilty to one and was given probation. After he finished probation, two months later he did it again. There were several tags, he was arrested again and charged and got adjusted probation, 30 hours community service and probation extended until Jan 25 2009. Now I come to find out the last arrest was only for one tag. and it is five months later and he is now 16 years old the police are arresting him again tomorrow for another tag from September 2008. Can the Police keep coming back and arresting him charging him for everything he did individually months later? He has stopped the graffiti, I have him in counseling, he grades have improved dramatically. He seems to have smartened up. What are my options tomorrow. By the way the Police called and told me to bring him in tomorrow for the arrest.

Re: graffiti

You should hire a lawyer before he goes down to the police station. The last thing you want is to have this new arrest result in a violation of his probation.
