Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I recieved a criminal summons for someone claiming I hit her and threw coffee at her. This happened in September 09 and I just recieved the summons yesterday even though the summons said I was suppose to be in court on september,25th of 09. First of all This incident did not happened and second I have to go to court next week. What do I do?

you have no choice but to go to court to answer the summons and plead not guilty and fight the case. Meanwhile try to determine where you were on the day in question and start gathering evidence and speaking to potential witnesses. good luck
