Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

revealing witnesses

Does the prosecution or DA have to reveal all witnesses it interviews in connection to the action or person he is prosecuting to the defendents attorney? Can he just say he did not locate the witness when in fact he really did? What about the detective investigating the case, does he have to reveal all peoples he investigated in connection to the same prosection?
