Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My 44 year old son who is married with two children has moved out of his home to live with another woman. At this point there isn't a legal separation or divorce. A separation agreement is in the making but not going very well because my son wants too much of the existing assets which my daughter-in-law needs to raise the children ages 8 and 10... Daughter-in-law has returned to college to get a nursing degree and is not working at this time...

I am disgusted with my son and want to know if I have any legal rights in New York State that allows me to sue him in any court for anything at all that I could use to help my daughter-in-law and grandkids... My son does have a good job that pays him approx $96,000 annually...
