Child support payments

when the child reaches the age of 21 do I have to go to court to stop the child support payments or do I just stop paying since the court order says to pay until he reaches 21?

You can just stop, however, read the agreement one more time, because there might be other provisions regarding his being a student or other exception to the provision that says that 21 is the date of the end of the obligation.
