Do I have any legal or financial responsibilties for my estranged mothers debts?

The short answer to your question is "No". However, in the event of her death, her estate would be responsible for any existing indebtedness. As long as you did not co-sign or guarantee any obligations, you cannot be responsible for the debts of another.
