Re: getting kicked out

Q. if something happens to him his son can throw me out of my home.

A. Since your name is not on the deed, you do not have a right of ownership for the property.

Q. Where am I to go with six cats.

A. Certainly not to an apartment that has a no pets rule.

Q. Is there anyway I can keep the house I am living in and lived in for 17 years? Do I have a leg to stand on?.......

A. If your name is added to the deed as a life tenant, you may live in the house for the remainder of your life or until you decide to leave. As a life tenant, upon your death the son would receive both ownership and possession of the house.

Mike.
