Legal Question in Family Law in New York

This may be a long shot, but it is definitely worth a try..

Is it possible to finance a family law attorney?

I am in the process of a custody battle and it seems that I may need legal representation soon.

At the moment, I do not have the full 3k+ for the retainer especially because I have monthly visits that are quite costly considering that the children reside in Port Jervis, NY and I am in Jacksonville, FL. (The court is located in Goshen, NY)

I was expecting to be able to pay an attorney once I got my tax refund in early 2011(tax refund & first time home buyers tax credit), but did not anticipate that I would need one sooner (considering the recent situation)

I would be willing to post date a check, have the monthly contributions come directly from my husbands pay (Active Duty Military - with almost 10 years of service) , etc...

If there are attorney's out there that do this, please let me know.

And I apologize if this may seem like a extreme request or question.

Thank you,

Jazmine

Yes, it's possible. But a postdated check won't do it. We accept credit cards through Paypal.
