Legal Question in Family Law in New York
who's responsible ?
My 20 year old checked herself into a Private hospital for a week with
pneumonia. She's been living with
different friends in a college town -
no job, no apartment and NO
insurance for the past year.
Am I obligated to pay this bill?If so,
do I have any recourse under the
law?

A parent is responsible for the necessities of its children. Therefore, since the child, which is under the age of 21, is unable to care for an provide for herself, the parent is responsible for the costs of her necessities and care.
