Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Violation of Court Order for Arrears

My ex has a court order stating that he must pay x$ twice per month for arrears in child support and maintenance. He is also ordered to pay 1/2 of medical bills that are not covered my insurance. I have filed a violation of court order with the system (he has missed 3 payments). Will this information go on his credit or do I have to pursue a different avenue to have this referenced on his credit history? This is the first violation I will be documenting with the courts.

I am not sure why you want to affect your ex-husbands credit. Usually the credit reporting agencies will not take information from individuals.

If you are having this much trouble getting him to pay, you should contact probation. They can garnish his wages, and get the money to you. This would save you many headaches.
