Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

Famous Faces

I am in the process of marketing a childs game and would like to add a few celebrity faces to the front of the box. I know that I need permission but what are the chances of a celebrity endorsing it and how would I/or the attorney go about contacting these individuals?

Re: Famous Faces

I can't estimate any chances of obtaining celebrity endorsement based on the information you have provided.

You should contact the celebrity or his/her agent to obtain and pay for licensing rights to use his/her likeness. An intellectual property attorney is the best person to do this for you.

Please contact me directly if you wish further help.

Re: Famous Faces

With the limited information you have provided it is almost impossible to assess the chances of receiving such permission. The celebrities you are interested in would need to be contacted via their agent or other representation to obtain the rights to use their likeness. This area of law is our specialty, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
