Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

My husband was assaulted on the job yesterday. The assaulter was taken to jail. My husband did not fight back in anyway in fear of losing his job, and got a beating. The police came and arrested my husbands assaulter. The action taken on the assaulter was nothing. He's back at work today, he was not suspended or fired, but my husband was moved to a different department, different hours, turned our life upside down....What can we do?

It appears that your husband's employers have taken the necessary steps for his physical safety. Your husband has a few options but it all depends on the facts giving rise to the assault. I would advise your husband to speak with an attorney before he makes any further statements to his employer.
