treated unfair?

My boss recently told us we can't leave the building on our lunches, we have no privacy to sit and eat or take a break,are we being treated unfairly or is he breaking the law?

It depends on whether you are being paid for your lunch break. It also depends on the number of hours you work per day, the days per week and where you work.

Generally, you are entitled to overtime for time you are working in excess of eight hours per day and five days per week.
