Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Work Hours

I'm 62years old and been with a company for 8 years. All that time, I worked 16 hrs/wk. For the past few months, I requested on several occasions, more hours; however, I was told that the company was in fact looking to cut hours. Strangely, several times, different workers have been brought into my department, with less seniority and much younger, and given 24 or more hours. Is this discrimination?

Re: Work Hours

Could be. Would need more info to know whether or not its worth making a complaint to the EEOC.
