landlord and heating

is my landlord allowed to let me go since thrusday without any heat? i have two children ages 10 and 5.

No. By law the landlord must provide heat to the tenants. However, if the landlord is making an attempt to fix the heat, and there is a delay because of the attempt, that is not a violation of the law.
