Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

I've gone thru the legal eviction of my tenant. Unknown to me, she had been illegally subleting my basement. This womans name is not on the eviction warrent and refuses to go. I've been told I have to now evict this stranger! Can this really be true? The warrent reads, "Yvette Grace and all occupants of ____ must vacate. Do I have to evict her or will the sheriff remove her? Still waiting for sheriff to post 72 hr notice... I live in Southold Town in NY. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it is likely that you will need to institute specific proceedings to evict her. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
