My sister just had a baby and we think the hospital was negligent and now her new born baby and my sister are sick.

Let's wait until mother and child are discharged, and see how they're doing after a few weeks. If there are any serious/long term complications for either, obtain both hospital charts and have them reviewed. Best, M. E. Zuller
