Re: after settlement for personal injury, can sue for property damages too?

Most likely you signed a release for "all claims" relating to the incident which resulted in your injury. (INsurance companies usually insist on this). If so, your case is over and you cannot sue separately for property damage. However, if for some reason this language was missing and your settlement was only for your injury claims you may be able to sue for property damage separately, provided that you are still within the statute of limitations period. For a more in depth analysis you should speak to your attorney, and review your release.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone low-cost legal consultation at 1-800-275-5336 x0233699.

It depends on what your release states.
